Hello, friends! Great news! The Motorworks Fields outdoor pickleball courts are now open, and summer is here! It’s the perfect time to grab your paddles and have some fun under the sun. Let’s dive into the exciting details and a few important reminders to make the most of our fantastic pickleball courts.
Welcome New Faces!
Every one of us was new at some point. If you see someone you don’t recognise, give them a warm hello! Let’s make everyone feel welcome and part of our pickleball family. It’s always fun to meet new people and make new friends while playing our favourite sport.
We Are a Volunteer-Run Club
Our club is run by amazing volunteers who work hard to keep everything in top shape. Remember, the pickleball courts are like our second home. Treat them with care and respect. By keeping the space clean and following the rules, we help make sure everyone has a great time.
Drop-In Play
Don’t have a partner to play with? No problem! Drop-in play is the perfect solution. Almost every morning, you can come alone and join other players for some pickleball fun. It’s a fantastic way to meet new people and get in some extra practice. So, come on down, and let’s get playing!
Rated Play
Rated play is for players who want to compete with others at the same skill level. If you have a rating, you can join these competitive games. This helps everyone have a fair and challenging match. Please respect the rated play times and only join if you have the right rating. It keeps the games fun and fair for everyone.
Private Bookings
We also allow members to reserve a court for private games. Not everyone at the courts is looking for people to join their group. Please be respectful of private groups and do not assume you can join them. If you are dropping in to play and do not have an organized group, please ask before joining a group and respect their answer if they want to play privately. This way, everyone can enjoy their game in the way they prefer.
Lessons and Coaching
Do you want to get better at pickleball? Our lessons and clinics are very popular, especially in the spring. We know many of you are eager to learn and improve your skills. We’re working hard to add more lessons and coaching sessions. But remember, there are limited spots, so be patient and gracious as we try to accommodate everyone. Keep an eye out for new opportunities to learn!
