Ellis Bird Farm is a working farm as well as a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Mountain Bluebirds. The Ellis Bird Farm consists of a grain elevator built in 1937,Tea House, self-guided trails, demonstration wildlife gardens, a picnic area, bird banding tours and the "World's Largest" collection bluebird nest boxes.
Ellis Bird Farm welcomes curious wonderers or you can book a group tour! The 45 minute site tour and 1 hour lunch (or afternoon tea) in The Ellis Café. All tours must be booked in advance with the Visitor Centre and the Ellis Cafe. The cost for the tour is $3.00 per person. Lunch costs must be arranged with the Ellis Cafe.
Please note: do not try to find Ellis Bird Farm by punching us into the GPS unit in your vehicle. Folks who do so typically end up near Morningside, AB.

Kerry Wood offers an extensive program of natural history interpretations. They have an Interpretive Centre with exhibits, a nature store. Out behind is the Gaetz Lake, a protected federal migratory bird sanctuary, with bird blinds, viewing decks, home to many plants, mammals, birds and wildlife. You can do it on your own, or take a tour with a naturalist.
