Carol Graham

Carol fell in love with the sport of Pickleball in 2019 ago.  Previous to her picking up the sport of pickleball, Carol was involved in numerous sports including basketball, indoor and outdoor soccer, squash, track cycling, marathons, road cycling and triathlons.  Pickleball entered Carol’s life after wrist surgery and the realization she could no longer keep up with the youngsters on the soccer pitch or on the triathlon field.  She immediately fell in love and searched out tournaments and competitions to help her better her game.  Now she is an active student of the game.  She is eager to learn and advance her skills, continually searching out lessons and tournaments where she can be tested.  Although Carol is passionate about playing sports herself, her greatest passion is passing on that love to others.  She knows the importance of developing physical literacy in children and introducing them to a multitude of activities so that they can become lifelong learners when it comes to being physically active.  She can appreciate the fact that each individual, young or old, brings different talents and abilities to the playing field and she tries to meet them where they are at, hopefully instilling a love for learning as she has.

Carols’ qualifications include;

  • Bachelors of Athletics and Sports Conditioning (University of Alberta)
  • Bachelors of Education (University of Alberta)
  • 35 Years of Coaching experience in Middle School to High School Athletics
  • Athletic Director and PE Specialist at Gateway Christian School (RDPSD)
  • NCCP Coaching - Volleyball
  • NCCP Coaching - Pickleball

Carols’ desire is to help people learn the game of pickleball (or any sport) and fall in love with it as she did.  Pickleball to Carol means that she can continue to learn and develop her skills, feel like an athlete still as she ages, stay healthy and active, pass on her knowledge and experience and hang out with lots of amazing people.
